How to play Scary Math
- Press the play button on the Halloween start screen.
- Read the equation on the sign, for example 6 − 3 = 1.
- Tap the green tick if the answer shown is correct, or the red cross if it is wrong.
- Answer before the timer bar empties: each right answer scores a point, and one wrong answer ends the round.
About Scary Math
Scary Math turns quick number facts into a Halloween challenge. Under a full moon, beside a haunted house and a grinning pumpkin, a sign shows one finished equation at a time, such as 5 × 4 = 20 or 6 − 3 = 1. Your only job is to say whether it is true. Tap the green tick if the answer is correct and the red cross if it is wrong, and do it before the timer bar under the sign runs dry. Every right call adds a point, and the equations get tougher as you go. A single wrong call ends the run, so speed has to be balanced with care. It is a fun way for kids to drill times tables and subtraction facts, and the high score gives a reason for one more try.

The round ends and the start screen shows your score next to your high score. Press play to try again.
What kind of math does Scary Math practise?
Quick mental arithmetic, such as multiplication facts like 5 × 4 and subtraction like 6 − 3, which makes it good practice for times tables and number facts.
