About Mind Games: Math Crosswords

Mind Games: Math Crosswords swaps the usual letters-and-words format for numbers and arithmetic, asking you to fill a crossword-style grid so that every row and column satisfies its math clue. Because each cell's correct number is constrained by more than one clue at once — the row it belongs to and the column it belongs to — placing one number often narrows down what several neighboring cells are allowed to be, similar to how a word crossword's letters constrain each other. Working from the clues with the fewest possible solutions first, rather than guessing at ambiguous cells, tends to unlock the rest of the grid more reliably. As grids grow larger with more interlocking clues, treating each placement as a small arithmetic check rather than a guess keeps errors from cascading through the rest of the puzzle.
