Animal Path Puzzle sets a simple but strict rule: trace a path linking each animal to its own matching spot on the board, and make sure no trail ever crosses another animal's path along the way. With several animal-and-target pairs sharing the same grid, working out a valid set of routes for all of them at once is the actual puzzle — a path that looks obvious for one animal can end up blocking the only route left for another, so solving the board usually means planning several paths together rather than one at a time. That kind of simultaneous constraint-solving is the same basic logic behind classic untangle-the-wires and multi-path routing puzzles. Later boards pack in more animals and tighter grids, making the planning genuinely necessary rather than optional.
