Austrian domino duel

1. The game uses 36 tiles; each player is dealt ten and the rest form the boneyard.
2. Round one is opened by whoever holds the highest tile; later rounds start with the previous winner.
3. Lay a tile whose number matches one of the open ends.
4. If you can't play, draw from the boneyard until you can — if it's empty, your turn passes.
5. Play all your tiles to win the round.

Austrian domino duel recreates a dominoes game that was popular in Vienna in the early 20th century. It uses a set of 36 tiles, made by taking the double-eight set and removing its nine doubles. Each player is dealt ten tiles and the rest form the boneyard. The player with the highest tile opens the first round, and after that the previous winner starts. Take turns laying tiles that match an open end; if you can't, draw until you can, and pass when the boneyard is empty. Play against the computer or an online opponent. Holding on to tiles that match several numbers keeps you from being forced to draw.
