About City States Idle

City States Idle is an economy builder played on a map of hexagons. You begin with a small patch of land and buy neighboring cells, and later whole sectors, to expand. Buildings produce goods, but they only pay off when they are connected: roads join each building to the towns that need its output, and one product often feeds the next in a chain. Planning where to buy and how to route the roads is the real puzzle, since a well-connected cluster earns far more than scattered buildings. New sectors bring new resources to work with. It is all controlled with the mouse, dragging the map around as your territory grows.
