About HexaFill
HexaFill adapts the falling-piece, clear-the-board formula to a honeycomb grid instead of the usual square one, dropping hexagonal pieces that need to connect into full clusters before space runs out. Hexagonal geometry changes the placement math from what a standard grid puzzle trains you to expect, since each cell now borders six neighbors instead of four, opening up more directions a cluster can grow in but also more ways an awkward placement can leave isolated gaps behind. Filling toward the edges of the honeycomb, where fewer neighboring cells are available to complete a cluster, tends to be more urgent than filling open space in the middle, where clusters have more room to come together naturally. It is a familiar puzzle formula reworked just enough by its hex grid to demand genuinely different spatial thinking.
