Pskov checkers

1. Choose the large (61-cell) or small (37-cell) board.
2. A checker steps forward in three directions and captures in all six.
3. Capturing is mandatory, and a capture sequence must be finished.
4. Promotion to king happens only on the corner cell opposite you.

Pskov checkers moves the game onto a hexagonal board turned corner-first toward the players, so there are no ordinary diagonals — every cell is in play and pieces get three directions of movement instead of two. A regular checker steps forward in three directions but can capture in all six, captures are mandatory, and a capture sequence must be completed, though you may choose between branches. Promotion happens on just one cell: the corner directly opposite you. Play on the large 61-cell board with 24 checkers each, or the small 37-cell board with 13.
